Dan has a rich background in accountancy, deal structuring, and financial planning. He was a branch manager for Farm Credit Services where he loaned money and analyzed financial statements for credit purposes. Dan was Jonah Certified by Eli Goldratt, physicist and author in constraint management in 1994 and was the first to be "e-file" certified by the IRS in the State of Michigan. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Dan earned a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan. While at UofM, Dan played football his freshman year for Bo Schemblecher. He was a member of the University of Michigan Flying Club where he won the state competition in spot landing. Additionally, Dan has served on the Michigan State University Livestock Judging Team.
