Bruce Gockerman was founder and Managing Partner of the Michigan law firm of Gockerman, Wilson, Saylor & Hesslin, P.C. His practice emphasized corporate, labor, business and municipal law. He still serves as "Of Counsel" to the firm. Previously, he was Vice President of Administration & General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of a $60M consumers products company where he directed and administrated the legal, strategic planning, finance and human resource and administrative functions and related managers and budgets.
Bruce is recognized as a consummate lawyer-consultant-educator, which includes several adjunct professorships. He is a prolific author of papers and publications related to the law, economics, finance and public policy.
Currently, he is President and Senior Advisor of Standard Deviation Econometrics; Ltd., a Chicago based valuation, M & A, and strategic management advisory firm. With more than 30 years financial, managerial and consulting experience, Bruce serves on several corporate and municipal boards.
Dr. Gockerman holds an AB-Economics, cum laude, Eastern Michigan University; Juris Doctor, Wayne State University School of Law; MBA, Corporate Finance & Quantitative Analysis, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business; and the Doctorate of Management Degree [Decision Sciences] from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University. He also holds the coveted Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA), Certified Fraud Detection Analyst (CFD) and Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA) designations from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
